What is a Device?
A device is any machine running the OpenAgents Bridge — your laptop, desktop, or a cloud server. Each device has a name you choose and appears in your dashboard.
Adding a Device
open-agents-bridge pair -d my-laptopThis opens a browser for login. After authentication, the device is linked to your account. The name must be unique within your account.
Device Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Online | The Bridge is running and connected |
| Offline | The Bridge is not running |
The dashboard updates status in real-time.
Managing Devices
In the dashboard under Devices, you can:
- View all devices — see which are online/offline
- Click a device — see its active sessions and recent activity
- Remove a device — revokes its access; you’ll need to re-pair to use it again
Tips
- Use descriptive names like
macbook-proorcloud-devso you can tell devices apart - You can pair the same machine with multiple names if needed
- Removing a device from the dashboard doesn’t delete the local config file
